In the deep mountains of Togawa Valley, located in Minamikoma District, Yamanashi Prefecture, lies a group of waterfalls known as the "48 Togawa Waterfalls" 🌊. Hidden upstream are many breathtaking cascades. On the day of filming, however, the trail was closed due to a landslide, preventing access to the intended Myōren Waterfall 🚧. Fortunately, I managed to capture its beauty using a drone (around the 1:40 mark) 🚁. The autumn foliage deep within the valley was so stunning that the trip turned into more of a fall foliage photography session 🍁📸.

From the Numajiri trailhead of Mount Adatara, just a few minutes into the trail, you'll encounter a cliff formed by lava pushed out from Mount Adatara 🌋. Here, you can see Shiraito Falls, where hot spring water from the remains of a sulfur mine flows down as a single stream of a waterfall 💦. The water from this source is transported downstream to Numajiri Onsen and Nakanosawa Onsen 🏞️.

Jododaira, located at an altitude of 1,600 meters in the middle of the Bandai-Azuma Skyline, is a rugged volcanic landscape covered with volcanic gravel 🌋. Even after the autumn foliage has faded, it remains bustling with visitors 🍂👀. Enjoy the stunning sights of Okenuma, which resembles a tropical sandy beach 🏖️, and the beauty of the volcanic crater known as Azuma-Ko-Fuji, hidden from view at ground level 🗻.

Makutaki Falls in Fukushima City is a beautiful waterfall with a wide, curtain-like flow 🌊, giving it the name "Curtain Falls." Standing about 15 meters high and 20 meters wide, it creates a broad, graceful cascade. In autumn 🍁, the surrounding trees turn vibrant, making it a favorite spot for photographers. During winter ❄️, the falls can freeze, forming an icy curtain. A short hike through scenic trails leads to this stunning view! 📸🌄
